A Glasgow shopping centre is enjoying an early Christmas present after receiving VisitScotland’s highest quality assurance award.

Silverburn, which is located in the Pollok area of Glasgow, was awarded a five-star grading from the national tourism organisation.

The centre, which boasts over 100 stores, was praised for continuing to provide excellent standards of cleanliness and service. Staff were commended for the efficient way they dealt with customer enquiries, helping to create a memorable and long-lasting positive impressions on those visiting the complex.

As well as already providing a number of different food and drink outlets, Silverburn’s five-star grading reflects its inclusion of facilities such as mobile charging points and a ‘changing places room’ designed to help visitors with access requirements. There was also praise for the active role the centre plays in the local community, including the running of a Community Garden.
