On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July Rockingham Circuit in Northamptonshire will host The Supercar Event, a spectacular two day festival offering a range of family attractions including once-in-a-lifetime passenger rides starting at just £30!
Over the two days more than 150 supercars will descend onto the racetrack including the Lamborghini Aventador S, Ferrari 488 and the McLaren 675 LT. So if you’ve always wanted to ride in a Pagani Huayra or an Ariel Nomad, or have dreamt of sitting in the Lamborghini Batmobile, why not plan your visit to The Supercar Event and help to raise £100,000 for The Children’s Trust?
You might even spot a celebrity or two, as well-known names such as Chris Evans, Andrea McLean, Shane Richie, Phil Tufnell, Craig Phillips and Nick Whale have taken part in previous years.
Racing Driver Nick Whale, who became involved with The Supercar Event for the first time last year said: “It’s a fantastic event for the family. It was hugely popular last year, and I think the move to Rockingham is a great opportunity to build on its success so that even more people can enjoy what is a truly fantastic day. I thoroughly enjoyed being part of it and supporting an event that helps to raise much-needed money for children with brain injury. There is such a huge buzz all weekend – The Supercar Event is one not to miss.”
There will be great entertainment for everyone, with rides in helicopters, trucks, Caterham Sevens, hovercrafts and a 4×4 course. Younger guests can have their first driving experience with the Stay Safe Driving School (age 14 and above), take a fire engine ride or try the Mini Monster Truck Mania!
Tracy Poulton, Fundraising Manager at The Children’s Trust said: “The Supercar Event is fantastic fun. Hundreds of stunning supercars, fabulous attractions and an army of volunteers make it one of our biggest and best fundraising events. This will be the first time we’ve held an event in Northamptonshire and we are really looking forward to it!”
