Between the 300 kilometre long coast with 70 kilometres of sandy beach and the mountains, with a total of 48 two-thousand in naature are beautifully breathtaking density. Beside the crystal blue of the Montenegrin Adriatic the dramatic, snow-capped mountains makes one think of Switzerland, the deep canyons of Colorado, the high plains of Mongolia, the palaces of Venice, the ancient sites of Greece and the sacred buildings of the world’s three main religions.
For nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, in this small country in the sunny south east of the Adriatic Sea anything is possible and within reach: climbing, rafting, paragliding, canoeing. For horse-riding amateurs there are “on the saddle” tours through the mountains. Safe Montenegrin horses will take you through the breathtaking scenery of the National Parks Durmitor, the Tara Canyon and the desert plateau Sinjajevina. Guests will experience the original mountain life of farmers and herders.
Montenegro has 6,000km of tracks, half of them well marked, suitable for cycling, trekking, hiking and mountain biking. Marking and organising this network of cycling and hiking has brought together nature lovers, local population, outdoor specialists and local businesses.
